This is why Rahul can't get vaccinated

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad who is in Patna says the country doesn't know if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has yet vaccinated himself. "If you (Rahul Gandhi) haven't got the COVID19 vaccine yet, my humble appeal is that, please get yourself vaccinated," Prasad says.

The Congress last week said party chief Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses of COVID-19 vaccine while Rahul Gandhi could not take the jabs yet as he had contracted the virus in May.

A senior party functionary said Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to take the vaccine on May 16, but he tested positive for the coronavirus a day before.

Vaccination has to be deferred by three months for a person who tested positive for Covid, which means Rahul cannot be vaccinated before August 16.
