US to donate 500mn Pfizer vaccines to world: Report

The Biden administration plans to donate 500 million Pfizer coronavirus vaccine doses to nearly 100 countries over the next two years, Reuters reported quoting sources.

United States President Joe Biden is set to make announce the deal at the G7 meet in Britain.

Last week, Biden had announced his plans to allocate 75 per cent -- nearly 19 million of the first tranche of 25 million doses -- of unused COVID-19 vaccines through the UN-backed COVAX global vaccine sharing programme to countries in South and Southeast Asia as well as Africa.
