Chinese company sacks entire Indian staff

In July 2020, ByteDance, TikTok's Chinese parent, was on a hiring spree in India. Five months later, on Wednesday, January 27, ByteDance sacked its entire India staff, barring a few key positions.
The dismissals followed the Indian government's ban on Chinese apps including TikTok following the stand-off in Ladakh."Entire company sacked yesterday," a dismissed ByteDance employee stated this morning.
