Govt-farmer meeting ends, next round on Jan 22

The 10th round of talks between the government and protesting farmer unions has ended, the next meeting will be held on January 22 at 12 noon.

Union leaders said that the government proposed to submit affidavit in the Superme Court for suspending three farm laws for a mutually-agreed period and set up a committee.

However, the unions stayed firm on their demand for repeal of laws, but will still discuss the government's proposal for suspension of Acts on Thursday. -- PTI
