Harvest festival celebrated in Tripura

People gathered at Kapali Para in Lankamura village to attend the 'Poush Parban 2021' that concluded yesterday in Tripura. Locals had set up makeshift stalls of traditional Bengali rice-cake at the event. The white roll-like thing is called patishapta, which is rice flour pancakes stuffed with a mix of coconut and kheer that oozes out when you bite into it, top of the picture is chitalpitha which is rice flour dumpling stuffed with coconut sweetened with patali gur. This is the season for patali gur and all things awesome in Bengal.
