1,65,714 vaccinated till 5.30 pm on Day 1: Govt

The Union government has said that 1,65,714 beneficiaries were inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines till 5.30 pm across India on first day.

COVID-19 vaccines -- Covaxin and Covishield -- administered at 3,351 session sites across India, the government said.

16,755 personnel were involved in organising COVID-19 vaccination sessions, the Union health ministry said.

"COVID-19 inoculation drive successfully conducted on first day, no case of post-vaccination hospitalisation reported so far," it said. -- PTI
