Delhi extends quarantine order till January 31

Delhi government extends till January 31 its order pertaining to 14-day quarantine for passengers arriving in Delhi from the United Kingdom. 

Earlier, Delhi had issued an order stating that all travellers coming to Delhi from the United Kingdom will have to undergo a seven-day institutional quarantine even if they test negative for COVID-19.

After completion of the institutional quarantine, such passengers will have to go under home-quarantine for another seven days which will be ensured through 'strict surveillance' by district authorities.

As of date, the number of people who have tested positive for the new UK variant of SARS-CoV-2 in the country has climbed to 109, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.
