Sonia holds meeting with NCP, Sena, DMK

A meeting is underway at the residence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, regarding the situation in Parliament.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar, DMK MP TR Balu, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and LoP in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge are present at the meeting.

The stalemate continues in parliament with the Opposition staging walkouts over the suspension of the 12 Rajya Sabha MPs. The Opposition wants the suspension to be revoked.

Leaders of various opposition parties went on a protest march on Tuesday in support of their demand for revoking the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs.

Opposition MPs of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha participated in the march from the Gandhi statue in the Parliament complex to Vijay Chowk.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Opposition is not being allowed to raise issues in Parliament, which is now merely a building and a museum.
