There is no UPA: Mamata on anti-BJP alliance

Mamata Banerjee on her meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar: "A firm alternative should be made as nobody's fighting against ongoing fascism. Sharadji is the seniormost leader and I came to discuss our political parties. I agree with whatever Sharadji said. There is no UPA."

NCP Chief Sharad Pawar when asked if Congress will be a part of it, amid talks of a "strong alternative" in his meeting with WB CM-TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, "Be it Congress or any other party, the thing is that those who are against BJP, if they'll come together, they're welcome."

Congress reacts: "Everybody knows the reality of Indian politics. Thinking that without Congress anybody can defeat BJP is merely a dream," Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal.
