Mann ki Baat: PM hails passage of farm bills

Hailing the passage of farm bills, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it has empowered farmers and given them freedom to sell their produce.

"Many farmers benefited after fruits, vegetables were brought out of APMC Act in some states a few years ago," the PM said in his 69th episode of 'Mann ki Baat' radio programme.

"Our agriculture sector has shown its prowess during the COVID-19 pandemic. Farmers are playing a major role in building a self-reliant India," Modi said.
