Govt to seek suspension of RS MPs who misbehaved

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi will likely move a motion under rule 256 of procedure & conduct of business in Rajya Sabha to seek suspension of MPs who misbehaved with Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Singh.

Rajya Sabha on Sunday passed two key farm bills, dubbed as the biggest reform in agriculture by the government, were on Sunday passed by Rajya Sabha with voice vote amid unprecedented unruly scenes by protesting opposition members.

While the BJP and its allies are claiming that Opposition MPs disrupted the house, Opposition leaders accused Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Harivansh Narayana Singh of failing to adhere to established parliamentary procedure.
