'He's confused; He's running against Biden'

After Trump accused Biden of supporting socialised medicine, the Democratic nominee said the president was confused about who he was running against.

Hes a very confused guy. He thinks hes running against somebody else, Biden said. Hes running against Joe Biden. I beat all those other people because I disagreed with them.

That line could prove effective with American voters, although it may rankle former Democratic presidential candidates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, who have endorsed Biden and campaigned for him.
