PM motivated people to wear masks: Jaishankar

EAM S Jaishankar calls out America's distant relationship with the face mask. Speaking at an event, Jaishankar said, "When I look at Europe and US it's amazing how many unmasked people I see on street. You won't see it in India. People rose to the occasion. In many ways, PM was a great motivator. He went up there and really got people to take this very seriously."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indians several times over in the last seven months not to take coronavirus lightly and follow the rule of wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing till scientists develop a vaccine. "I have certain expectations from you. That is to follow the rule of wearing a mask and Do Gaj ki Doori (a distance of two yards)."
