Cyclone Nivar may make landfall after 2 am

NDRF DG SN Pradhan has said that Cyclone Nivar may make landfall after 2 am on November 26.

He added that over one lake people have been evacuated across Tamil Nadu and more than 1,000 people have been evacuated across Puducherry.

Earlier, Pradhan had said that the NDRF has deployed several teams to help with relief and rescue operations.

Meanwhile, the BJP Tamil Nadu has cancelled the last leg of Vel Yatra due to Cyclone Nivar. The final event will happen on December 5 in Tiruchendur.
