Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell wins re-election

The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, has won re-election in Kentucky, despite Democrat Amy McGraths long-shot bid to unseat him.

Kentucky, Im humbled and grateful that youve rehired me to keep fighting for your families and serving our commonwealth for the next six years, McConnell said.

Kentucky wants more of the policies that built the best economy is modern history. Not socialism, McConnell said. This is no time to declare war on our institutions because one side is angry.
