Recovery rate of Covid-19 patients increases to 47%

As per the ministry of information and broadcasting, the recovery rate of novel coronavirus patients in India has risen to 47.76 per cent on the same day as the country's Covid-19 death toll surpassed 5,000.

India is the ninth worst-hit nation by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Sunday, India registered its highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases on Sunday with 8,380 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, taking the country's tally to 1,82,143, while the death toll rose to 5,164, according to the Union Health Ministry.
