MIA AAP MLA to surrender before Delhi court

Suspended AAP MLA Tahir Hussain to surrender before the Delhi court days after an FIR was filed against him.

Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava said the police are taking appropriate legal action against the councillor. "We will soon present him before the law," he said.

Hussain is accused of being involved in the death of an Intelligence Bureau staffer Ankit Sharma. Following the allegations, police have charged Hussain with murder.

The AAP was unequivocal in its assertion on Thursday that strict action should be taken against those who incited communal violence in northeast Delhi, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal saying double punishment should be given if anyone from his party was involved.
