Separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani resigns from Hurriyat

Senior separatist leader and Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani has decided to distance himself from his party in the wake of the present condition of the party and has therefore resigned from the party. "In this regard, a detailed letter has been sent to the Hurriyat Conference. Keeping the present state of Hurriyat Conference into view, I resign from the Hurriyat Conference," Geelani said.
