Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray announces that CM Uddhav Thackeray has just launched 'Project Platina', which he says is the world's largest convalescent plasma therapy trial.

"Maharashtra has been working on plasma therapy since the beginning of the Covid fight, but now it will be a formal trial-treatment project across Maharashtra. The entire funding to support this plasma therapy trial has been done through the CM Relief fund and we hope this will be a landmark trial in the global fight against the covid pandemic."

The CM also tweeted, "This trial will help formulate definite treatment guidelines for the entire country in managing serious COVID patients and thus be a milestone in turning a page in this pandemic."

Thackeray has approved Rs 16.65 crore for the purposes of this project-cum-clinical trial from the Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
