Mumbai race course converted into Covid facility

Mumbai's civic body, BMC, is setting up a Covid care centre with a capacity of around 1000 beds at the Mahalakshmi Race Course in the city. The facility will house people who have moderate Covid-19 symptoms with 125 beds marked for the ICU. The parking space of the Mahalaxmi racecourse is being converted into a quarantine and hospital facility.
