Mamata drops out of PM's meet with CMs

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has decided to drop out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction meeting with 36 chief ministers called over Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss measures to be taken to move ahead to combat the Corona pandemic, as the country moves beyond lockdown an semi-opening up of activities with inputs from the states.

The Bengal chief minister decided to give the meeting a miss as she has not been included among the list of speakers at the video conference with the prime minister and has viewed it as an affront to the state amid the rising cases of covid-19 across the country.
