Mumbai airport closes down due to Cyclone Nisarga

Mumbai airport will remain shut till 7 pm, read a statement from the authorities. "Till 19:00 hrs, no take-off or landings would take place at the airport due to Cyclone Nisarga," read the statement from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai. 

Earlier in the day, Mumbai airport decided to cut down its operations, allowing only 19 flights.

Owing to the cyclone warning, many airlines had also cancelled their Mumbai operations. IndiGo informed that the airline will only operate three flights from Mumbai on June 3.
