Cyclone Nisarga now 80 km from Mumbai

IMD says the center of Cyclone Nisarga has moved northeastwards and crossed Maharashtra coast close to south of Alibaug and lay centered at 13:30 pm over coastal Maharashtra near latitude 18.4North and longitude 73.0East close to south-southeast of Alibag and 80 km south-southeast of Mumbai.

The winds has picked up speed in Mumbai as well where vehicles parked on the roads have been damaged by felling trees.

Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweets to Uddhav Thackeray saying, "On behalf of the people of Delhi, I extend our full support and solidarity with you and the people of Maharashtra in the wake of #CycloneNisarg We are praying for the safety of the people of Maharashtra."
