43 NDRF teams evacuate 1 lakh in Maharashtra

About 43 National Disaster Response Force teams are deployed in the two states of Gujarat and Maharashtra; of which 21 are in Maharashtra.

According to NDRF Director General, SN Pradhan, nearly 1 lakh people have been evacuated from the cyclone spot.

The NDRF has been carrying out swift evacuations in Palghar, Raigad districts in Maharashtra as well as in Navsari and Valsad in Gujarat.
