India records nearly 50,000 COVID cases in 1 day

India's coronavirus case tally has crossed the 14 lakh-mark with most states continuing to witness a daily spike in Covid-19 infections in the country.

As many as 49,931 new cases of novel coronavirus in a single day has pushed India's tally to 14,35,453 on Monday morning.

The death toll has climbed to 32,771 with 708 deaths in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the government is now formulating guidelines for Unlock 3.0 which will come into force from August. The Covid-19 restrictions of 'Unlock 2.0' end on Friday (July 31).
