India records fresh steep spike of 49,310 cases

For the first time ever, the country has recorded the highest single-day spike of 49,310 cases and 740 deaths in 24 hours.

This means that India's Covid-19 tally is now 12,87,945 including 4,40,135 active cases, 8,17,209 cured/discharged/migrated & 30,601 deaths.

The ICMR also stated that the total number of COVID-19 samples tested up to July 23 is 1,54,28,170 including 3,52,801 samples tested yesterday.
