3 injured in oil well explosion in Assam

Huge blast near OIL's Baghjan well in Assam where fire is raging since June 9 after gas blowout.

"The explosion occurred near well no 5 of Oil India Ltd in Baghjan, Tinsukia district. Three foreign experts who were at the site have been injured and have been rushed to hospital", says Tridip Hazarika, Oil India Limited's spokesperson. The incident occurred when operations to douse the fire at Baghjan oil field was going on. The operation has been halted now.
