India records 27,114 new Covid cases in 24 hrs

India's COVID-19 tally on Saturday increased by record 27,114 in last 24 hours, taking total number of cases to 8,20,916, the Union health ministry said.

The country also reported 519 new fatalities to take the death toll to 22,123.

The number of recoveries stands at 5,15,386 while there are 2,83,407 active cases of coronavirus infection presently in the country, the health ministry data showed.
