JNU mayhem: Social media, CCTV part of probe

The Delhi police, which has registered an FIR at Vasant Kunj (North) Police Station in connection with the violence that took place in Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on Sunday, said social media and CCTV footage will be part of the investigation.

"We have taken cognizance of yesterday's incident and have registered an FIR. Social media and CCTV footages will be part of the investigation," said Devendra Arya, DCP, South-West.

Image: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said the government condemned the violence in JNU. "This needs to be investigated. Congress, Communists, AAP and some elements want to create environment of violence in universities across the country," the minister said.
