6 bodies recovered from T'gana power plant fire

Update: Rescue officials have retrieved bodies of six men who were trapped inside the hydroelectric plant in Telangana which had caught fire late last night. They were among the nine men who were missing following the fire at unit one of the under tunnel power house of the Srisailam hydroelectric plant, which is near Telangana's border with Andhra Pradesh. Efforts are being made to rescue the three men who are still trapped inside.

Two of the bodies recovered were identified as assistant engineers at the plant. Nagarkurnool District Collector L Sharman said the body of Assistant Engineer Sunder Nayak, hailing from Suryapet, has been recovered and been sent for post-mortem. Police identified the other body as that of assistant engineer Mohan Kumar.
