What India can do, world has seen in Ladakh: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an indirect reference to China and the Galwan Valley faceoff in his Independence Day speech.

Speaking of the border tension, PM Modi said, "Those who challenge India's sovereignty, be it LOC or LAC, have been given a befitting reply in their own language."

He added, "Respect for India's sovereignty is supreme for us."

Modi also said that the world has seen what the country can do. "What India can do, world has seen it in Ladakh."
