Nearly half of Taloja jails inmates have fever

'With close to 1,000 inmates suffering from fever, cough and cold in Taloja, only 20 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the prison up to 28 July,' reports Parth MN in First Post.   

Taloja in Maharashtra is also home to nine political prisoners, including Mahesh Raut, Sudhir Dhawale, advocates Surendra Gadling, Arun Ferreira, poet Varavara Rao, activist Vernon Gonsalves, scholar Anand Teltumbde, activist Gautam Navalakha, and the latest being professor Hany Babu.
