Former finance minister Yashwant Sinha's 530-page autobiography Relentless was launched at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower hotel in south Mumbai, by Bloomsbury India, on the rainy, wet evening of Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

Present for the launch were actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, former Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chauhan, Rajya Sabha member and former editor Kumar Ketkar and former Union minister and businessman Kamal Morarka.

Shatrughan Sinha, while both humorously and glowingly paying tribute to the former finance minister, spoke about his courage and fearless mind.

Yashwant Sinha recalled his journey to write the book and the journey of his life, that began in a poor family in a small village in Bihar. He spoke strongly and intelligently about the importance of dissent and protest in the country and in a democracy.

Predictably the conversation turned to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, post the abrogation of Article 370 in August earlier this year.   Yashwant Sinha spoke about his own attempts to reach Kashmir and the importance of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-style dialogue with all its stakeholders in the former state.
