Celebrating his 74th birthday today in the unlikely venue of Tihar Jail is Dr Swamy's old bete noire, P Chidambaram.

Neither gentleman will, of course, have the kind of birthday celebrations that Tuesday's birthday boy will have, with every BJP satrap in the Republic of Hindutva vying to mark the Pradhan Sevak's 69th birthday.
