Former AP Speaker found hanging at home

Former Andhra Pradesh Speaker, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao was found hanging at his residence in Hyderabad. Rao, 72, was one of the senior-most leaders of the opposition Telugu Desam Party in the state. He was taken to Basavatarakam Hospital where doctors confirmed his death.

Rao was in the news recently over shifting of some furniture from the AP Assembly in Hyderabad allegedly to his offices in Guntur and Sattenapalli. Rao, his son, and daughter were also charged with cheating and intimidation, and cases had been filed against them.
