Amid Maha tussle, Sena's Raut meets Pawar

Amid tussle with the Bharatiya Janata Party over government formulation in Maharashtra,  Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that he met Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar at his residence today.

"I met Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar at his residence today. I had come to wish him on the occasion of Diwali. We also discussed the politics in Maharashtra," Raut told ANI.

The Sena is locked in a tug-of-war with the ally BJP post-October 21 Maharashtra elections seeking equal sharing of the power.

The Sena has won 56 seats against the BJP's 105. The Uddhav Thackeray-led party has claimed that seven independents are supporting it.

On Thursday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray expressed disappointment' over chief minister Devendra Fadnavis's statement that the Bharatiya Janata Party had not promised `50:50' formula for power-sharing in Maharashtra, sources said.
