Misunderstanding led to BSF jawan's death: B'desh HM

Bangladesh home minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that misunderstanding between border forces led to Border Security Force jawan's death.

He also that he will talk to his Indian counterpart Amit Shah if needed.

In a first of its kind incident, Bangladeshi border guards opened fire at a Border Security Force team on Thursday killing a jawan after a 'flag meeting' along the Indo-Bangla riverine frontier in West Bengal.

The Bangladeshi border guards said they fired gunshots in 'self defence'.

Khan said that Indian fisherman held by Border Guard Bangladesh will be released.
