The Telangana woman doctor, who was raped and murdered on Wednesday night in Shamshabad, was forced to consume cold drink laced with liquor before the crime took place, top police sources have said.

The sources have revealed that the accused bought a bottle of whiskey, mixed it in a cold drink and forced the Hyderabad-based veterinary surgeon to consume it before committing the crime.

The Telangana veterinary surgeon's charred body was found on Thursday morning under a culvert in Chatanpally on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. All the four accused were nabbed from their houses on Friday by the Cyberabad Police. They have been sent to judicial custody.

Top police sources revealed that all the four accused purchased one-and-a-half bottle of whiskey, some snacks and a cold drink from Tondupally village, close to the Shamshabad toll plaza. All the accused were drunk at the time of the crime, the police sources said.
