Floor test proceedings have begun in Maharashtra Assembly.

The Maharashtra government of the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance led by CM Uddhav Thackeray will face floor test in the state Assembly. The floor test will be conducted by NCP MLA Dilip Walse Patil, who was appointed as pro tem speaker of the Assembly.

NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal said the Maharashtra floor test is important. The Fadnavis government collapsed for it was in no position to prove majority, he said. So the government can collapse and it can be formed after this, he said. He added, 'We have the number. We have 165 plus and it can be more because independents want to be with the government.'
