SC begins hearing Sena-Cong-NCP plea

Supreme Court hearing in Maharashtra government formation case begins as judges have assembled. The 3-judge SC bench is to the Shiv Sena-NCP-Cong's plea against Maharashtra governor's decision to swear in Devendra Fadnavis as CM. 


The SC commences hearing to consider the plea of three parties that they be invited to form govt with Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray as CM. The SC says it is not considering the prayer of Shiv Sena-NCP-Cong that they be invited to form govt in Maharashtra. 


Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for Centre submits letters of Maha Governor and CM Devendra Fadnavis in SC. The governor was cognizant of facts, situation after polls results that had led to invoking of Prez rule in state. The Solicitor General says he has original copies of letters.
