SC begins hearing Shiv Sena-NCP-Cong case

The Supreme Court has commenced its hearing into the urgent petition filed by the Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party and Congress against the formation of the Devendra Fadnavis government in Mahrashtra on Saturday.


Among those present in the court-room were Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and ASG KM Nataraj, senior counsel Kapil Sibal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, and Devadatt Kamat. 

Also present were Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala, former Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and NCP leader Majeed Memon, himself a lawyer.
