In what can be viewed as a slap on the face of the Maharashtra Governor, the Supreme Court will hear the NCP-Sena-Cong petition seeking urgent floor test in Maharashtra at 11.30 am tomorrow -- on a Sunday.

Earlier in the evening, the three parties filed a joint petition against the decision of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to invite Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Fadnavis to form the government.

The parties sought quashing of the Governor's decision saying the Governor's decision was "unconstitutional, arbitrary, illegal, void-ab-initio, and violative of Article 14 of Constitution of India".
