Senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan and NCP's Nawab Malik meet the press a day before leaders of both parties head to Mumbai. Chavan says that the Congress and NCP have completed discussions on all issues. "There is complete unanimity. Tomorrow in Mumbai, we will have a meeting with our other alliance parties. Later in the day, we will have discussion with Shiv Sena," Chavan said. The crucial meeting on power sharing and portfolios will be discussed at a meeting with all three parties -- Sena, Congress and NCP.

The BJP and Shiv Sena contested the October 21 Assembly elections together and won 105 and 56 seats respectively. The two parties, however, fell out after the Shiv Sena persisted with its demand of sharing the chief ministerial post for two-and-half years on a rotational basis.  The NCP and Congress won 54 and 44 seats respectively.
