Rajnath visits Kranji War Memorial in Singapore

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Kranji War Memorial in Singapore today and paid tributes to those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during the Second World War.

Singh on Tuesday held talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Heng Swee Keat with a focus on ramping up bilateral defence and security cooperation. Singh arrived in Singapore on Monday night on a two-day visit.

The defence minister expressed satisfaction over increasing engagement of the armed forces of India and Singapore, officials said, adding both leaders agreed to take the bilateral defence cooperation to greater heights.

In the meeting, Singh also referred to India's stand on the South China Sea and the Indo-Pacific region.
