Update on the government formation in Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut says the process to form the government will be completed in the next 5 to 6 days and a popular and strong government will be formed in Maharashtra before December. "The process is going on," Raut said.

Today, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament, over the issue of Maharashtra farmers at noon.

The Sonia Gandhi-led Congress and the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party are likely to meet today to hold discussion and take a final call on forming the government in Maharashtra with Shiv Sena.

Senior leaders of Congress and NCP are expected to hold a meeting on Wednesday to iron out differences in the common minimum programme.

The Congress and NCP have already deputed leaders for holding talks on the possible alliance. The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, but was postponed to today at the request of the Congress given the prior commitment of party leaders on Indira Gandhi's birth anniversary yesterday.
