Things hotting up in Mumbai: Devendra Fadnavis steps down as the chief minister of Maharashtra. Fadnavis handed over his resignation to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhawan moments ago. He was accompanied by senior state ministers to the governor house. Fadnavis is expected to address the media any time now. The term of the existing assembly is set to expire on Saturday.
