Parrikar's son performs last rites

Manohar Parrikar's elder son will be lighting the pyre. The tricolour has been removed and the CM's flower-bedecked mortal remains has been placed on the pyre. He is being given a 21-gun salute by the Indian navy as a former defence minister. The final rites of Parrikar are being performed at the Miramar beach, next to the memorial of Goa's first chief minister Dayanand Bandodkar, who was also cremated there.
