Your vote is your weapon: Priyanka takes on Modi in home turf

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Tuesday targeted the Modi government, adding she was saddened by what was happening in the country. She was addressing her first political rally in Gujarat after assuming charge as Congress general secretary.
"Your vote is your weapon. Make the right decision, ask the right questions," she said in her first election speech.
The newly-minted Congress general secretary targeted PM Modi without once taking his name. "Think and decide - those who talk big in front of you, where are the jobs they promised? What about the Rs 15 lakh in every bank account that they talked about? What about women's safety?" she said at the rally in Ahmedabad, dressed in a white and blue sari.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi were present at the rally near Adalaj village of Gandhinagar district. The Congress held a rally in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state to sound its poll bugle for the crucial Lok Sabha elections. PTI
