85 million new voters since 2014: CEC announcing polls dates

Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora details the process of finalising the Lok Sabha poll dates:

He said that examination of all boards and religious festivals, as well as harvest season have been taken into account by the EC in deciding poll dates.

He said that the electorate has been increased by over 85 million voters since 2014.
