Chandrababu forced to abandon convoy, undergo frisking at Vijayawada airport

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and now leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu had to undergo frisking at Gannavaram Airport here late on Friday.

Naidu was also denied VIP access to the aircraft and had to travel in the bus along with common passengers. The security staff at the airport reportedly didn't allow his convoy up to the aircraft. Naidu was asked to get off and undergo the regular process of checking.

A security guard was seen frisking Naidu at the security entrance.

The Telugu Desam Party chief was also not allowed to reach the aircraft in VIP vehicle.

The incident drew a strong reaction from TDP, which alleged that BJP and YSR Congress Party were resorting to witch-hunting.
